Biography
Born in Houston, Texas, Frances is the widow of John R. Alford, Jr. She divides her time between Austin, Texas and her summer house in Vermont. A former special education teacher, she served in the U.S. Peace Corps as a teacher for the blind in South Korea in the late 70s.
As a well known fiber artist, Frances writes articles, teaches and displays her unusual art. Quilted Jazz with a twist.
