Three clothing labels, some shoe box tissue and a red paper napkin are all that are used in this piece.  Using the napkin as a background, three dress labels were added along with the image of a dog from the green tissue in the shoe box.    I liked having more negative space in this one.

I gathered paper from around the Barton Creek Resort today.  Using plastic room keys, toothpicks, a drink stirring stick,  brochures, business cards and napkins to make a cohesive piece was the challenge.

My boarding pass and ticket receipt cover the back of this piece.  I have added Washi Tape, green and white dotted ribbon and some passion tea bags.  A small embroidered fish from Korea will never make it as cell phone jewelry as I have glued it to the tickets in the background.   We can either fly or swim.

I am still in Texas and working in my room.  I enjoy the limitations of fewer supplies.  I love Zen Tangles and wanted to do some more.  I combined this with another New Years money envelope and added a dragon image above.  It seems fitting that the name of the tea is Zen as well.  The butterfly and rose charms seem to fit the mood.

Zen Tangles and Washi Tape.  I spent some time today doing Zen Tangle sketches on my pad.  I decided to see what would happen if I added the Washi Tape on top of the black inked images, hoping they would show through.  They do.  If you want to try Zen Tangles, they are fun.  Here is a website to try, but there are many more.  http://www.zentangle.com/

On our second day into the Year of the Dragon, I printed dragon images on green and yellow art paper.  Since I was flying to Austin today, I decided to do the work on the plane.  This involved a glue stick and things that I could tear since I had not brought any scissors onto the plane.  Of course the top of the glue stick rolled all the way to first class so I felt pressure to do lots of gluing since the stick would not last long topless.  I used my ticket, a tea bag wrapper and a few images from the inflight magazine.  Later, in my room I added a few more printed images and completed it with some black pen doodling.

Happy Lunar New Year.

Asian children are given red envelopes with coins inside on New Years Day.  I have used some of these envelopes along with random Chinese text,  Washi Tape and some small plastic game chipsl

A continuation of the use of materials that have been used in prior collage works.  The leaf and wheat spray are from the 1850 magazine, hand colored with water pencils.  The image at the lower right is a Moo card photo of one of my quilts.  The glassine envelope once held a mint from our family's candy company, "Peggy Gray Candies" and now holds a small paper heart.
