On my second day of treatments in LA, I am taking a break after a long dsy.  A hand written note from Jocelyne,  some receipts couple up with my airplane ticket and the ribbons from the gift the clinic sent me.  The boots refer to the stomping my body feels it is getting.

More of Campions beautiful antique images have found their way into this piece.  Along with scanned images of the Peterson's Magazine and violets from an old postcard are behind the Victorian girl.  Stamped images of birds on branches and Washi tape complete this.

I am going to LA in the morning so will post early.

Here are some images we have seen before.  The flowers are painted onto a magazine sheet from the 1800s and then was scanned and reduced.  The three little girls have been used before .  They look like they have some great secret going on but since they also came from another century, we will never know.

L.M. KIT Carson stayed at my house in Grafton for an extended artist in residence stay.  He wrote and edited the Africa Diary which will be aired on Sundance Channel in the fall.   He was up here this weekend for the premier showing of the film.  I am amazed at how much I love it.  Watch for my name, he put me in the credits.

This collage is a combination of images from the poster they made for his opening plus a photo of Kit.

This one makes me laugh.  I used a page from my Peterson's Magazine collection and stamped and painted the flowers in a vase.  I put this in a mat and then added the very stiff stern man's image on top of the mat.  The man image came from Campion's collection.  You have to wonder what that man is thinking or if this is just how men posed in front of cameras.

My brother tells me this is William McKinley. I took a look at some Google images and I believe he is correct. So, now I have to change my comments. This is a US president sitting in front of a vase of flowers trying to look like a president.

Several scanned images and some Washi Tape have been superimposed for this piece.  The central figure of the girl is the same one I used yesterday, larger and no longer on the head of a drum.  With the large stag, the boys with their hats off and the handwritten postcards, it is the start to a great short story.  Or, maybe a longer one.

I used the same handmade paper that I  used yesterday.  A piece of the white circular string paper and some stamped flowers were added.  I drew around the leaves and flowers and added a scanned image of a drum with a girl's image on top.

Call it a collage or call it a drawing.  I used hand made paper glued to a heavier surface.  I sketched the flower images with colored pencils and a sharpie pen and added the vertical line with Washi Tape.
