After a trip to Gaudi's park, I used some of the images from postcards there. In addition, I have used the plastic from a museum bag and some water bottle labels.

A trip to a small flea market yielded this 3D card from the 50s. You cant see how much the image pops out in real life. Roses play a big part in the history of Catalan, the name for Barcelona prior to colonization. I used the label from the Vichy Catalan, a chamomile tea bag tag and some chocolate wrappers along with an image from our hotel, H1898.

My first day in Barcelona. The Cataluna culture is strong. The Alnigavers were from the 13th century. I have used the images from our hotel, some flag stickers and my boarding pass to make this piece.

We arrived in Barcelona this morning. This is a map of the Las Ramblas area where our hotel is. The drawing in front of the map is of the Gaudi Towers.

Gold foil from candy wrappers is my other favorite collage material besides
Washi Tape. I used this with cellophane tape designed with black tracery
designs. Mushrooms, Flowers and Werthers Originals. Bon
Voyage. Leaving today for Barcelona.

Campion's Aunt Della must have been quite a woman. Here, she is
pictured on the right with her sister-in-law, both of them holding baby Bengal
Tigers. This was California somewhere around 1908. In the mysteries
of genetics, Aunt Della's face has shadows of Campion's. Because they were
so far apart in age, they never met. Now we are celebrating her.
This is a scanned image enhanced with water color pencils. Used tea
bag paper was collaged on top along with Washi Tape seals and botanical
images.

More of my Flora Cupriferous quilt images were used as a start for this
collage. Washi Tape floral images, bubbles, stripes and polka dots are
added along with a silver pen for detail.

I bought a cube of Himala Salt last week. It comes with a little
grater so that you can grate the pretty pink salt right onto your food. It
is really pretty and so are their graphics. I moved the packaging around
and added a scan of large salt crystals. The houndstooth tape just makes
it fun.

Layers of floral paper napkin, tissue paper images and frog stamps were the
start of this collage. The vintage calling card said Maggie Quarry.
We have to wonder who Maggie Quarry was, how she lived and what she would think
if, alive today, she found her card had made it to
cyberspace.

I love multi-media. This piece started as a large postcard. Layers of organza ribbon are glued down with layers of tissue paper above it. Stickers and sticker waste are at the top layer along with Washi Tape.
