Layers. I love the lower strata showing at the top surface. The scan from Marvie and BIll's postcard is at the bottom layer. Drawings, stickers, Washi Tape and floral paper napkins are all added to give depth. If you are trying to read my address, the zip code is 05146.

I painted in all the spaces on this antique pattern from Peterson's
Magazine. The background lines are black colored pencil and the frame
is Orange Washi Tape.

The tiny petals that were embedded in the handmade paper gave me a start
for painting in full flowers around them. Water color pencil scrolls, the
petals and leaves were sketched in and then wet to release the paint. The
striped polka dots are Washi Tape on tag board, cut into circles. Felt
marker black dots were added and then the entire collage was framed with three
layers of Washi Tape.

99% chocolate is pretty bitter. Put this in your mouth and wait and
it will slide around perfectly. At $3.50 an ounce it comes to about $56 a
pound. A good chance to feel decadent. Enjoy.
This collage is the outer wrapper, the inner foil and some Washi
Tape.

In memory of Delilah, who died yesterday. I used water color pencils
to make the sketched background. I have been a big Hello Kitty fan for
ever. So, putting the stickers on this seems like the right thing to
do.

Campion's aunt was Miss Della Korniebel. In 1909 could she have
imagined what saving the postcard from a friend could result in? No
scanners, no computer, no blogs, no Facebook. The list goes on. But
Miss Della saved a large number of very beautiful cards and Campion has shared
these with me. This is a scan of a card. enlarged with parts of the
other side scanned and added. The one cent stamp was all it took to get it
from Hartford to East Glastonbury. And no address was required beyond the
name of the town and the state. She must have been quite a
woman.

Business cards. Washi Tape botanicals, pink stickers and green organza are
layered. The cut out flower image is from one of Campion's postcards,
postmarked 1909.
